How points work

The ways to earn Veyda points, what each one earns right now, and when points arrive.

Earn Veyda points by completing steps in the app and by inviting friends. Points cannot be used for anything yet, and they have no cash value.

Ways to earn

Ways to earn is for members, and a free trial counts. Each step pays once per account unless it says otherwise.

• Steps you did before you became a member count once you start Membership, a free trial included, if our records still show them then.
• These points go straight to your balance once our records show the step is done. Only the Membership bonus waits, and while it waits it does not show as Pending.
• The Membership bonus counts regular App Store payments made from 4 p.m. Pacific Time on November 4, 2026, when Membership starts or renews. A free trial, a free month, an introductory price and a change of plan on its own do not count. Before a bonus arrives, it is cancelled if that payment, or a later one on the same subscription, is refunded, or if we record a refund on that subscription without the date of the payment it refunds. If your Membership has ended when a bonus is due, it waits until you are a member again.
• Two lab reports from the same collection date earn once. A report with no date Veyda can read earns nothing, and neither does one whose results are all still waiting for review.
• Sometimes we run a promotion for a limited time, with its own points and dates. Its card in Rewards shows them. Only steps you complete between its start and its end count, and if it asks you to activate it, only steps after you do.

Invite friends

Anyone with a Veyda Account can invite friends, member or not. You earn points in two steps:

• Your friend joins Veyda with your code: 500 points.
• Your friend pays for Veyda Membership for the first time, through the App Store, and the payment reaches our records before the invite closes: 1,000 points. The invite closes once 400 days have passed since your friend entered your code.

Invite a friend, in the app, shows what each step earns right now. The points for a friend are set on the day that friend joins with your code.

Pending, then yours

If you pay for Veyda Membership through the App Store, points from each step show as Pending in History, in Rewards. They wait at least 14 days while we check the invite, then move to your balance. If you allow notifications from Veyda, we try to let you know when they arrive. If you stop paying before they arrive, they wait for you to come back.

If your friend starts with a free trial or a free month, the second step happens only if they pay when it ends. Points for the second step follow that payment, after the wait.

If your friend had Veyda Membership before entering your code, a free trial included, their first payment earns no points, and the points for joining may not be paid either.

What your friend gets

Anyone can open a Veyda Account for free. An invite can also include a free month of Veyda Membership for your friend, when they have not had Membership or a free trial before and have confirmed a phone number. When yours does, the app says so. Your friend does not earn points from your invite.

Locked until you start Membership

On a free Veyda Account, or on a free trial or free month, you earn the same invite points, but they are locked. Locked points show in the app as Locked. They are not in your balance yet, and they cannot be used. Points from Ways to earn are never locked.

• Start Membership within 90 days of your most recent friend joining with your code. Each new friend who joins starts the 90 days again, for every point still locked. Once a deadline has passed, a new friend joining does not reopen it, even during the extra day before its points are cancelled.
• Starting with a free trial or a free month counts, once it turns into your first payment. If it runs past the deadline, it must turn into a payment on the same subscription within 24 hours of its end, or locked points are cancelled.
• Locked points arrive once you have been paying for Membership for at least 14 days and your friend's step has finished its own 14-day wait, if you are still a paying member then and the invite passes our checks. Membership given to you by our team also counts if it started by your deadline and is still active. Membership shared with you through Apple Family Sharing does not count.
• The deadline is the end of the 90th day in every time zone, so a payment that day counts wherever you are. The app shows the day when our checks can work it out, and it may not show while we review your payment records. If you allow notifications from Veyda, we try to send a reminder about 30 days and 7 days before it.
• If the day passes and you have not started Membership, locked points are cancelled a day later, unless a free trial or free month you started in time is still running.

Refunds

• If your friend's first payment is refunded within their first 14 days of paid Membership, the points for that step are cancelled. A refund after those 14 paid days does not cancel them.
• A refunded payment of your own does not unlock points. Points that already arrived stay yours if you later get a refund.

Current limits

These can change. As of November 6, 2026:

• Your friend has 7 days after opening their account to enter your code.
• Your friend's first payment earns invite points if it reaches our records before the invite closes. The invite closes once 400 days have passed since your friend entered your code.
• You can earn invite points for up to 20 friends who join within any 30 days. Friends are counted on the day they join, not the day points arrive.
• You have 90 days from your most recent friend joining to start Membership before locked points are cancelled.
• If your friend has not confirmed a phone number when the wait ends, points wait up to 30 more days, then they are cancelled.
• One invite code can be accepted by up to 10 new friends in any 24 hours. After that, a friend is asked to try again later.
• Each account can try entering codes up to 10 times in an hour, then has to wait.
• You can pass the free month to up to 20 friends in any 30 days. There is also a daily limit on free months across all of Veyda.
• There is one overall limit on invite points for everyone together, not a limit for each person. If it is reached, points wait until there is room. Only invite points that arrive in balances count toward it.
• Add Past Labs pays for up to 5 collection dates.
• The Membership bonus pays for up to 1,000 payments per account, and a yearly payment counts as one.

Using points

Points cannot be used for anything yet. They have no cash value. Points in your balance do not expire, and they stay in your account if your Membership ends. If we add a way to use points, or an end date for them, we will tell you first.

Good to know

• Each friend counts once. An iPhone that Apple's check shows has accepted an invite before cannot accept another.
• History never names anyone.
• Points that do not pass the checks leave your Pending or Locked list.
• Clinicians on the Veyda team cannot earn points.
• If we pause Rewards, no points arrive and no step pays until it is back on. A pause does not extend any deadline.
