Rewards policy
What we check before points arrive, why points sometimes wait, and what we keep private.
Rewards is for real invites between real people, and for steps you really took in Veyda. This policy explains what we check, why points sometimes wait, and what we keep private. It is part of the Rewards terms.
When your friend enters a code
We accept a code when all of these are true:
- The code exists and is turned on.
- It is not the person's own code.
- The account is new. It was opened after the code was made, and the code is entered within the days listed in How points work.
- The account has not accepted an invite code before.
- Apple's iPhone check does not show that the iPhone has accepted an invite before. If the check cannot answer, we accept the code and the points wait for a closer look.
If someone enters codes too many times in an hour, they have to wait before trying again. One code can be accepted by a set number of new friends in any 24 hours, and after that a friend is asked to try again later. How points work lists both numbers.
The wait for invite points
Each step waits at least 14 days before points arrive. The wait leaves time for a refund, or for a fake account to come to light, before points count. No one can shorten it, including our team. While points wait, they show as Pending in History, in Rewards. Locked points show as Locked instead. They wait until you have paid for Membership for at least 14 days, or have Membership given to you by our team, and the step's own 14-day wait is over, as Locked points in the Rewards terms explains.
The checks when the wait ends
- Your friend's account still exists.
- Your friend has confirmed their email address.
- Your friend has confirmed a phone number. If not, points keep waiting. If it is still not confirmed after the extra days listed in How points work, they are cancelled.
- The two accounts do not appear to belong to the same person, for example one email address written two ways.
- The two accounts do not share one App Store purchase of Membership. If your friend's purchase also shows up on a different Veyda Account, points wait for a closer look.
- Your friend had not had Veyda Membership before using the code, a free trial included. If they had, their first payment earns no points, and the points for joining may not be paid either.
- The person earning is not a clinician on the Veyda team.
- We could confirm the iPhone the invite was accepted on. If we could not, or if Apple's iPhone check shows someone has opened their own invite code on that iPhone, points wait for a closer look.
- For the Membership step, the payment is a regular App Store payment when Membership starts or renews. It reached our records before the invite closed. An invite closes once 400 days have passed since your friend entered your code. It is confirmed in our payment records and was not refunded within your friend's first 14 days of paid Membership. Until we can confirm it, points wait. After those 14 days, a refund no longer cancels them. If we cannot tell when a refund happened, or your friend turns off renewal, or their Membership ends or is paused before this check is final, points wait for a person to check the payment.
- You are paying for Membership now through the App Store on your own Apple account, with a payment at least 14 days old and not refunded, or you have Membership given to you by our team that started by your deadline and is still active. For locked points, you also started Membership in time. If we cannot confirm a payment, our records disagree, we cannot tell how a free trial or free month ended, or a refund cannot be matched to one payment, points wait for a person to check. They are never cancelled on a guess.
- The inviter is within the limit of friends who join within any 30 days, counted on the day each friend joins. Points over the limit are cancelled.
- Invite points are within their program limit, one overall limit for everyone together. The limit is not per person, and only invite points that arrive in balances count toward it. If a release would pass it, points wait until there is room.
When every check passes, the points move to your balance. If you allow notifications from Veyda, we try to let you know.
When a check fails, the points are cancelled and leave your Pending or Locked list. The app does not show the reason, because it can be about the other person's account.
The free month for your friend
Before a friend gets the free month, we check that:
- Rewards and the free month offer are turned on.
- The friend joined with an invite code, and the inviter's account still exists.
- The friend has not had Veyda Membership before, a free trial included.
- The friend has confirmed a phone number.
- The inviter has passed the free month to fewer friends in the last 30 days than the limit in How points work.
- Free months are still available, and the day's limit across all of Veyda has not been reached.
If any check fails, the invite does not include the free month. Reaching a limit does not take back a free month a friend was already given, but its code can expire, and it is no longer shown once your friend starts Membership or if we turn the offer off. The free month comes as Apple offer codes, and Apple decides who can use them.
How we check Ways to earn
Every step is checked from Veyda's own records, never from what the app reports. We check when you open Rewards and on a regular schedule. If a check cannot run, it runs again later. A step earns points only while it is offered in Rewards, and only if our records still show it when we check.
- Welcome to Membership. Your Membership has started, a free trial included.
- Say hello to Sage. You have sent Sage a message, in the app or by text.
- Connect Apple Health. Apple Health is connected.
- Connect a wearable or your records. Another source is connected, such as a wearable or your health records. Apple Health and Apple Watch do not count for this one.
- Set your first goal. A goal is saved.
- Add health details. Your name, date of birth and sex are saved.
- Add Past Labs. A lab report you added has a collection date Veyda can read and at least one result added to your health record. A report whose results are all waiting for review earns nothing until one is added. Each collection date earns once, up to 5, so two reports from the same date earn once. A report with no date Veyda can read earns nothing, and neither does a report that names someone else.
- Membership bonus. A regular App Store payment for Membership when it starts or renews, made from 4 p.m. Pacific Time on November 4, 2026. It waits at least 14 days, then arrives once we have confirmed the payment in our payment records. While it waits, it does not show as Pending. Before it arrives, it is cancelled if that payment, or a later one on the same subscription, is refunded, or if we record a refund on that subscription without the date of the payment it refunds. One payment earns the bonus once, whichever Veyda Account it shows up on. If your Membership has ended when a bonus is due, it waits until you are a member again.
Only members earn from Ways to earn, a free trial included, and never a clinician on the Veyda team. If Rewards is paused, no step pays.
Who reviews invites
Most checks are automatic. A small number of people at Veyda can review invites that are waiting for a closer look. They can see who invited whom, and they can release, hold or cancel points. They cannot unlock locked points or shorten any wait. Every action they take is recorded with a reason. No one at Veyda can act on an invite they are part of, or change their own points.
What we use
- Account details. Your email address, whether your email and phone number are confirmed, and when each account was opened.
- An iPhone check. Apple keeps two yes-or-no marks for us on each iPhone, one when an invite is accepted on it and one when someone opens their own invite code on it. We read them when a code is entered. We do not keep anything that identifies the iPhone.
- Payment status. Whether a Membership payment happened and whether it was refunded, from the App Store through our payment records, and whether the same Apple purchase appears on another Veyda Account.
- Ways to earn. Whether each step is done, read from Veyda's own records as described above. Rewards keeps which steps have earned points and when, and for past labs, which collection dates have earned. It does not keep your results or what you said to Sage.
- Invite links. When someone opens an invite link, we keep a coded form of their network address and the time, so one network can check invite links up to 30 times an hour. We remove records more than a day old as new checks come in.
- Whether someone is a clinician on the Veyda team.
What we keep private
- History never names anyone. It says things like "A friend joined with your code."
- Veyda does not tell you who used your code, and does not share your name with the friends you invite.
- Nothing about your health is shared with the person who invited you, or with the friends you invite.
- If you delete your Veyda Account, your points and Rewards history are deleted with it. We keep a limited record that each invite happened, with a coded reference in place of your account, and a record of any action our team took and the reason they recorded for it. Points the other person already has from the same invite stay with them. Points still waiting for that invite are cancelled.

Veyda is currently in private beta. Features and availability may change, and some features shown, including Veyda Concierge and Veyda Rewards, are coming soon. The Veyda Marketplace is launching with curated lab panels, available in California only at launch, with in-home blood draws for an added fee. Veyda is not a medical provider and does not provide medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. Veyda Intelligence provides understanding and guidance, never a diagnosis, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice; always talk to a qualified clinician about your health. Where relevant, our practices are HIPAA-aligned. Your record is never for sale, never used to train models, and never shared with third-party advertisers.
